Dr. Ghazanfari
Board certified general surgeon and Fellows of the American Breast Society and Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
Dr. Ghazanfari has called Arizona home for more than 12 years. He moved here after graduating from St. George's University School of Medicine to complete his general surgery residency at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix. During Dr. Ghazanfari's extensive training, he gained experience and excellent surgical skills. Versed in both traditional and laparoscopic techniques, Dr. Ghazanfari performs surgeries including hernia repair, cholecystectomy (Gallbladder), adrenalectomy, gastric, pancreatic, thyroid, parathyroid, gastrointestinal and many other general surgery procedures.
Dedicated to patient experience, Dr. Ghazanfari has been recognized with the Golden Thread award from Mercy Gilbert medical Center and also the ACE award by Banner Baywood medical center in recognition for excellent patient care. Dr. Howard
Board certified general surgeon and a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons and American College of Osteopathic Surgeons.
Dr. Howard has been performing surgery since 2006 and has been serving the East Valley since 2010. Born and raised just outside Boise, Idaho, Dr. Howard earned his bachelor’s degree at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Oklahoma State University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Dr. Howard then completed his residency in General Surgery at Tulsa Regional Medical Center. Dr. Howard specializes in all general surgery procedures, including laparoscopic, thyroid, gastrointestinal, Nissen fundoplication (for GERD), hernia, gallbladder, and breast surgical procedures. Dr. Howard also performs robotic surgery, a minimally invasive approach that allows for a more rapid recovery.
Dr. Howard personally manages his patients’ care from consultation to post-operative recovery and is available throughout the surgical process to answer questions and to ensure proper healing.
In his spare time, Dr. Howard enjoys traveling with his wife and their four sons. An Eagle Scout, Dr. Howard has served many years with Boys Scouts of America as troop leader and advancement coordinator. Dr. Howard is a loyal fan of the Arizona Diamondbacks and loves attending games with his family. See more >>
